Showing with HDEC

Rates/Parent Info

• Schooling/Training for show - $50 per day
• Trainer Expenses - (ie., hotel, meals, gas divided by # of students showing)
• Showing of Horse by Trainer - (Entry Fees vary by show)$60 div./$15 class
• Rental of HDEC Horse - $25 per day
• Hauling of Horses to show - (divided by # of students showing and horses taken) $1.00 per mile/$75 min.
• Class Fees (vary by show) - $60 div./$15 class (approx.)
• Rental of tack/feed stall - (divided by # of students showing)$100 (approx.)
• Rental of stall for horse - (varies by show)$100 (approx.)
• Show Clip - $20
• Mane Pull - $15
• Braiding (Not required at all shows) - $40 (approx.)
• Tear Down/Pack-Up Fee (Waived if students stay to help) - $25

We do not charge for horse care as all students (parents are also welcome) participate in taking care of the horses, e.g., feeding, bathing, grooming, mucking stalls, and cleaning tack.

Show Apparel Required

•Jacket (no black)
•Breeches or jodpurs (no white)
•Long sleeve shirt with collar (Embroidered or pin for collar for girls/Ties for boys)
•Helmet
•Field boots or Paddock boots depending on age. Paddock boots must be accompanied by garters of the same color.
•Black leather gloves
•Hair nets, hair pins or barrettes and pony-tail holders for girls and safety pins for gloves
•Black riding crop
•Clean white fitted show pad
*Check with Hunter’s Dream as we often have items to lend as children grow quickly and parents generously donate items to us. Date for trainer to help students shop at Equus Now TBA.
